View List Detailed Description: Anyone can use Windows Media Player to rip song music from the music CD to an MP3 music format for playing on your computer or Ipod. You can also rip to WMA format although I recommend MP3 as that is an open format that can be played anywhere. Windows Media Player is free and all Windows computers already has this on their system. Note that you can also download and use Winamp which is another free music player and ripper. First off put your music CD into the CD Rom player on your computer. Next, open Windows Media Player on your computer. It will be on your desktop of in your start programs menu most likely under the programs - accessories menu option. Now choose the "Rip" tab at the top, you will see your CD song list and can simply play your CD. Check the boxes next to the songs you want to rip, by default all the music songs are already chosen. Next go to Tools - Options (at the very top), choose "Rip music" and then change the format box to "MP3". This will mean your songs are ripped to MP3 format. Click OK to close that window. Now over on the right, at the top, you see a link called "Rip Music". Click that and your songs begin ripping to your computer in MP3 format. Its that simple. You can then remove the CD and just play the songs on your computer or use ITunes to copy them to your Ipod.
