View List Detailed Description: Removing programs from your startup list on Windows is something many people often want to do, as often you do not want a bunch of garbage programs automatically running if you do not use them. If you have icons in your system tray, normally right clicking or left clicking will allow you to remove these from startup. You should always try that first. Next, many programs may not be in your systray, so click start, then click run, then type "msconfig" and click ok to run it. You will then see the "start up" tab, so click that. Anything you want to remove from your startup programs list, simply uncheck the box and it will not run when you reboot. Msconfig will allow you to maintain and monitor your startup list. Note that spyware or viruses can also appear in this list, so its good to monitor and know this as spyware and adware is something you may someday get and will then know where to look to help eliminate it!
