In Battlefield 2, often there are times where you may have to run or walk a long ways on foot. You can actually request a vehicle drop from your commander. To do this, press Q to show your map. Once the map displays, simply right - click and then click "Vehicle Drop". You will hear the words say "Requesting Vehicle Drop", as this command is displayed to your commander. If you get a message that says unavailable, then he has already recently dropped and you have to wait for it to reload again before he can drop it to you. This will drop a jeep only, but thats good enough when you have a long ways to walk!
