These toadfish pictures shown below are close up pictures showing you exactly what a toadfish fish looks like. Toadfish, often called "toads" as one word, or "toad fish", are caught in salt water or brine water, and vary alot in color. Most toadfish are not very large in size, and are often frustrating for most fishing anglers. There are also many different types of toadfish, some are also the oyster cracker toadfish types which are also different.

You can see that the color of the toadfish above and below varies greatly. They also have huge heads and smaller narrow like bodies.

How to identify a toadfish? Some characteristics of the toadfish include varying colors, strange looking fish, strong jaw and teeth, and difficult to get off the hook. (Always remember when releasing fish to get them back into the water as soon as possible and not over/rough handling, so the fish do not die after being released. Just because the fish swims away does not mean it actually survived).
