Detailed Description:

The process of backing up your bookmarks or favorites for Internet Explorer is fairly simple, you just need to know where to look for them and copy them just like any other file. Assuming you are using Windows XP or later, go to c:\documents and settings\owner\favorites (and then you will see all your bookmark files in this folder, and folders within folders. Note that "owner" may be some other user name, but this is the default name). Simply copy all your favorites to a diskette, USB flash drive, etc., and you will then have them all backed up. You can then copy all your favorites to any other computer and they will automatically appear in the browser as long as you put them in the same location. Its that simple, just like copying any other file!
