Occasionally you will find that AVI videos will not play on your computer, or that you will have sound only and no video picture. This same issue may also occur with MPEG video files. The reason is due to "codec" issues on your computer. Codecs are used for decompressing videos and different videos require different types. The good thing is most of these are already on your computer so most videos play fine, if you have a video that will not play then you need to find the codec. The best way is to search via google, dogpile, yahoo, etc. to find the codec for your video, most of these are simply free and you just download and install them, then the video will play fine. WMV seems to have the least amount of problems with this, I like WMV files just because they handle this so much better!
