Avoiding viruses in your cellphones |

All Headlines Front Page Virus in cellphones occurringNo security software needed on Iphones.... This article talks about how viruses were planted in cellphone games and dialed out to international phone numbers without customers even knowing that it was racking up large phone bills right in front of them. I knew it was a matter of time before this happened, and this malicious software occurred on Windows phones. As much as people say the Iphone is "not an open" system, I love the fact Itunes is something you have to use to install on the Iphone, because Apple reviews ALL software before it can be in the appstore. This means I can freely download and install on my Iphone without worrying about any type of virus or security software being run on my cellphone. This is a great thing for all users of the Iphone, and I'm sure all virus writers probably hate the fact that everyone uses the appstore on itunes to install on their cellphone, as this closed method makes it so much more reliable and safe for all customers using the device. This is a lesson learned from all the years of spyware, adware, and virus software getting placed on desktop computers for the past decade, and from years of upgrading and patching security software to try and keep up with virus writers.
