Mars Rovers Still Rolling!
What an amazing feat, the Mars rovers are still going strong...
Its still amazing to me that the Mars rovers, which were designed to go for 90 days, have now lasted almost 2 years and do not appear to be slowing down anytime soon. The pictures from the Mars rovers have been nothing short of spectacular. Whats even more amazing is that the Viking ships they landed on Mars in the 70s were with far less technology, far less computer power, and they landed standing up (not using the large bouncing balls around the craft, which of course makes it far less error prone). Amazing that both viking crafts 30 years ago landed without a hitch. I would love to see the Mars rovers go to those crafts and take pictures of them, it would be one of the most interesting pictures to see those crafts untouched on Mars for 30 some years!

Those rovers are great, imagine 1500 years from now, when civilization is completely wiped out, some extraterrestrial alien is going to find these rovers sitting on mars, along with the viking landers from the 1970's. Imagine the shock they would have. lol

Good point, would love to see the mars rovers take photos of those mars viking landers!! That would be awesome to see, talk about a point in history from 35 years ago.
