Changing times, the Ipad replacing laptop computers

The Ipad has replaced laptops, PC's might be next.
A new revolution is occurring right before our eyes ....

I found it interesting reading this article about Photoshop now being available on the Ipad. This is one of the first major "PC programs" now getting converted for the Ipad. I find this interesting because I have been telling people ever since the first IPad was released that this will change the way people use computers. I immediately replaced my laptop with an Ipad, and no longer carry a laptop when traveling. Actually with the iphone and other smart phones, I find myself using the web on the phone alot when I travel today too, there just isn't as much need for laptop like functionality anymore. Most people want to IM or text, read and reply to email, browse the web, check sports scores, airline delays, weather, or traveling related information ... and all of this is now much easier to do on the Ipad (or even iphone). I can assure you carrying that light Ipad with me through airports is so much easier then carrying my laptop (which was susposedly "light").

The Ipad has made things fun to use, it's changed the way we view computers, as I stated it would long ago. Another amazing thing is the battery life is fantastic, you don't have to charge it daily like you do with many other devices including laptops. Another major thing is the PRICE is right. They made this much cheaper then anyone expected, so it's very affordable. The evolution is just starting, and we are seeing it right before our eyes whether we realize it or not. There are still some things I use a PC for, things like doing taxes, screen captures, image work, and gaming which I still prefer the PC for at this time, but I can see that slowly changing. I also think that they should make the Ipad easier for storing and viewing things like PDF documents, things that I "need" my PC for today, as the Ipad currently lacks in this area. Not everyone wants to store things in the "cloud", I feel far more secure with things stored on my PC or Ipad then I do storing elsewhere. Things are changing though and I think the Ipad will eventually improve some of these types of things. I think in 5-6 years there will be people talking about the days in history when they used to use a "laptop".
